Creating in Quarantine

Art

I created these illustrations during quarantine when themes of isolation, loneliness and self-love felt most prevalent. Having more time than I could have ever imagined to be with myself, I was able to really dig into what it means to love yourself and embrace who you are and who you want to be. These illustrations touch upon themes such as gender, self-compassion and connection. I believe these themes are present in multiple aspects of our lives and deserve contemplation along with evaluation. We battle with fear and overthinking during self-isolation. My hopes with these illustrations, are that they offer positivity and healthy introspection amongst the negative and scary emotions that we are forced to face during this pandemic.
