Land Acknowledgement

Isa Magazine would like to acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that T’karonto (colonially known as Toronto) is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.

Our team encourages our readers to learn the specific histories and stories of the lands we are settled on and to continuously support the ongoing work of Indigenous leaders and communities. We will always stand in solidarity with murdered and missing Indigenous women, girls, transgender and two-spirit people.
