In My Own Skin

This series was inspired by two things: the word "comfort" and the journey of finding security/acceptance within our bodies.

As women of colour, we don't often grow up with positive images of ourselves represented in the media or even with the diversity of different body types. I spent the majority of my childhood disliking myself - what I looked like - and wished to change so many things about myself that I had to unlearn to develop a deep sense of self-love.

Each image in this series aims to serve as a reminder that all our bodies - in their most pure and rawest forms; no matter their size, shape, or colour - are beautiful and deserving of our utmost care and love.
